Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo is President and Chief Executive Officer of Nokia, a pioneer
in mobile telecommunications and the world’s leading maker of mobile devices.
Mr. Kallasvuo joined Nokia in 1980 as Corporate Counsel and has held positions of increasing
responsibility since then. He was named President and COO in 2005, and
took the helm of Nokia in June 2006. Mr. Kallasvuo has been a member of the Group Executive Board of Nokia since 1990, and was nominated to the Nokia Board of Directors in May 2007. He has been Chairman of the Board of Nokia Siemens Networks since its formation in 2007.
Mr. Kallasvuo also serves on the board of the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK.
He holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Helsinki. Before joining Nokia, Mr. Kallasvuo held a variety of positions with the Union Bank of Finland.

Nicholas Kuchova, Regional Senior Commercial Officer

Nicholas is the incoming Regional Senior Commercial Officer (RSCO) and will arrive in September 2009.  He will direct the U.S. Department of Commerce’s programs in Finland , as well as in Norway and Estonia .  His tour ends in 2013.  Until recently, Nicholas was the SCO in Panama City , Panama , where he arrived in 2008.  Prior to Panama , he served eighteen months as the Director of the U.S. Export Assistance Center in Savannah , Georgia .  Previously, Nicholas served as the Deputy SCO in Madrid , Spain , from 2002-2006.  Joining the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service in 1997, he served his first tour in Ankara , Turkey .  Prior to joining the Foreign Service, Nicholas was a teacher in an urban public school system.  As an entrepreneur, Nicholas successfully started and ran a charter airline, built homes and exported building materials to Japan, developed commercial fishery projects in Turkey and Mexico , and exported consumer goods to South America and Japan .  Previously, he worked in a division management position with US Home Corp.  Active in community affairs, Kuchova was an elected county official involved with a state constitutional change leading to legalized gambling in Atlantic City , New Jersey .  Nicholas is married to Robbin Calvert, his steady date since high school.  She will accompany him to post.  Off hours find them kayaking, hiking or mountain biking
